Joker Stocking

I have an order for 10 Batman themed Christmas stockings. This is the first, Joker.

I added a picot edging to the top, crude stitches to the heel and toe, and a metal clip for the hanger. I based it off Red Heart's pattern, Holly & Berry Stockings, found here.

Vintage Candlestick/Plant Stand

I just love the sinuous, almost dragon-like carvings on this one of a kind candlestick/plant stand I made. I also love the color, a bright chartreuse. I love it so much, I'd like to keep it, but I can't trust my one year old around it. So, it is for sale on my Etsy page!

From Trash to Treasure, Lawn Chair Edition

I got these metal lawn chairs out of the trash heap at my local antique dealer place. They were, admittedly, in rough shape, but I knew I could make them cute again. I wiped off all the dirt and began painting with my favorite spray paint, Krylon Dual Paint + Primer.. This is how they turned out! Cute, huh?

Trash to Treasure: Vintage Vanity Chair

My mom picked this chair up out of her neighbor's trash pile, and saved it for me. I was so excited. It was in such good condition, with exception of the worn out fabric on the seat. I immediately unscrewed the seat and ripped off the fabric and disposed of it, hence no photo lol. I also threw away the foam, because it was really worn out too. I went to Hobby Lobby and picked out some 2" foam from the fabric department because I wanted the chair to be super comfy. I had a lot of trouble finding a nice fabric for the chair, becuase everything vintage looked too vintage and everything modern looked too modern. I tried tons of fabrics and finally settled on this pillow sham I had. It just looked perfect! I cut it to fit and stapled it to the underside, and reattached the seat with screws.

DIY Coat Rack

I had These Shutters literally hanging off my old shed, and I decided they were a little gem just waiting for a facelift. I knew I wanted to make a coat hook to put by my front door. I had these curtain tiebacks I wasn't using anymore, so I simply attached them with some screws I had. I love the peeling paint and the old hardware. They have so much character, I am so glad I gave a second life to these old Shutters.

I used the hinges as hooks...
